A police officer from the District of Columbia, who formerly served as a motorcade escort for the White House, is currently being investigated for threatening to shoot Michelle Obama, according to the NY Daily News.
The cop allegedly made threatening comments against the First Lady to members of a Special Operations Division within the police force when the comments were overheard by another member & eventually reported to the Secret Service. It’s reported that the unidentified cop displayed pictures of a gun on his cell phone that he claimed to allegedly use to shoot the First Lady.
According to The Washington Post, the cop was assigned to administrative duty while D.C. police investigate. A spokesperson for the Secret Service declined to comment on specific details, but stated that an “appropriate follow-up” investigation will be conducted.
